Technical diving using back plate BCD. Alloy or steel? Which is better brand Halcyon or EXD or OMS.

Alloy and OMS. If you're on a budget why not consider Dive Rite? The Trans Pac offers a large inventory of interchangeable wings an alloy plate, the ability to go from a single to doubles in minutes and is cheaper than the Hal's, OMS or EXD.
I own both an OMS and a Trans pac, , the Trans Pac being my preferred travel BC because of it's versatility and lower overall cost of replacement if the airline loses it. My only gripe about it would be the plastic buckle on the tank valve strap.
